The SAE Support Staff represents a small portion of the immensely committed group of people who generously devote their time and energy to developing our school. Please contact any members of our team should you need assistance with any aspects of our school.

Janet Rau, Admissions Director

Janet Rau

Janet has a tremendous amount of financial, operational and academic experience in creating schools. She has spent the last 10 years directly impacting the lives of children in the Smyrna area. She has created one elementary school and 3 preschools in the Smyrna area, St. Benedict’s Episcopal Day School and the Vinings Academies, respectively.  Janet is one of the founding members of the school and continues to devote an immense amount of time and energy to the development of SAE.  Janet has one child who attends The SAE School.

Indhira De Los Santos, Development Coordinator

Indhira De Los Santos – Development Coordinator

Born and raised in Dominican Republic, Indhira has lived in the U.S. for 24 years. She is relatively new to Atlanta, having spent over 20 years living in New York.

Indhira graduated with a B.A. in Business and worked in corporate banking for many years.

Indhira chose SAE because of the commitment of the team to build a wonderful environment for the children, one where they are encouraged to express their opinions, to think creatively about solutions to real life problems, and where they learn to respect themselves and each other.

Neha Beharry (RN), School Nurse

Neha Beharry

Neha Beharry serves as our school’s “healer of all wounds and illnesses” or otherwise known as the school nurse.  Neha attended Valdosta State University and Abraham Baldwin for nursing school. She graduated in 1999, and has been a nurse for 14 years. She have worked in several different areas of nursing, with experience in orthopedics, neurology, rehabilitation, Neonatal intensive care, pediatric brain and spinal cord injury, case management, and triage nursing.

Neha chose to work at SAE because she completely believes in the mission of the school and the vision SAE has for all of our children. That is why she was so excited to have her own children attend our fantastic school. She is grateful to also be a part of this amazing experience as the school nurse!

Terrilyn Booker, Preschool Director

Terrilyn Brooker

Terrilyn is The SAE School’s Preschool Director.  She has worked with children for over fifteen years and has received many Early Childhood Credentials, including her CDA.  She has received her IMSE Orton-Gillingham Multi-Sensory Certification and has worked with all ages of children (from six weeks to seventeen years of age).  She was employed by the United States Navy for seven years in Key West, Florida, as a Child Development Center administrator, and by the Department of Defense for three years in London, England.  She has used several Early Childhood assessment programs over the years and has learned many strategies for bringing out the greatest academic and social potential in young children.

Terrilyn chose The SAE School because she feels that it’s philosophies and beliefs allow teachers to put the excitement of learning back into the classroom.  Terrilyn says, “When you walk through the doors of SAE, a feeling of love, compassion, and support greet you at the door.”  She believes The SAE School allows teachers to tap into a children’s creativity while also allowing them to work together to accomplish a goal.

Shannan Tilson, Special Assistant to CEO/Head of Schools

Shannan Tilson

Shannan serves as the Special Assistant to our CEO/Head of Schools, Jimmy Arispe.  She is responsible for keeping his schedule, managing projects, communicating with school parents and other individuals on his behalf, and supervising the custodial/maintenance personnel in the school.

Shannan has been married to her husband Rick for 16 years and has one amazing, handsome son, Wes. Her family moved to Smyrna in 2000.  Shannan’s work with SAE goes beyond the future of her son.  It gives her the opportunity to love and embrace the excitement of a child every day and to share that excitement with her SAE family.

Mr. Frank Robinson, Athletic Director, Counselor and Administrator

Frank Robinson serves various roles at The SAE School.  Frank is our school’s counselor, Athletic Director and is an administrator for our Upper School and High School.  Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Master of Arts in Counseling.  He has over 18 years of counseling and coaching experience.  Frank is married and has 2 sons (one in middle school and the other attending college).  He enjoys working with kids of all ages, assisting them in solving their own problems, helping high school kids achieve their high school graduation, and successfully getting them enrolled into the college of their choice.

Scott Starowicz, Chief Financial Officer

Scott Starowicz is the Chief Financial Officer for The SAE School.  Scott is responsible for the accounting, human resources and financial direction of the school. As an integral part of our team, his primary responsibilities are to oversee all accounting functions, prepare monthly financial statements, and perform financial analysis.  Prior to joining the firm, Scott spent five years as the CFO of a local private equity firm and seven years prior to that as an Audit Manager for a public accounting firm in Atlanta.  Scott graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005. He received his CPA license in 2008 and is an active member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s and the AICPA. In his spare time, Scott serves on the Advisory board of Georgia GOAL.  Scott has two children who attend The SAE School.
