GEORGIA GOAL
A FREE WAY TO SUPPORT YOUR SCHOOL WITH YOUR HARD-EARNED TAX DOLLARS
The Georgia GOAL program is a ZERO COST way for you to donate your state income taxes to The SAE School to provide scholarships for students to attend our school. It allows you to redirect your tax payments to our school instead. In short – you can either give your taxes to the government or you can give it to your school. It is a great way to support your school.
A BIT OF HISTORY ABOUT THE GEORGIA GOAL PROGRAM
In 2008, Georgia’s elected officials had the remarkable vision to pass the Education Expense Credit law to provide families in our state with access to better educational opportunities for their children.
Their legislative leadership resulted in what has been described as the nation’s best education expense credit law.
Since its inception, the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program has been leading the way in implementing this important legislation through our ethical, transparent, and proven approach.

DRAGON FUND
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!
We are excited to announce our Dragon Fund will start this year on September 9, 2024, and continue through October 11, 2024. We have been so appreciative of all the support during this yearly campaign from our families in previous years. This year we have approximately 400 families in our school community, and if each family contributes the recommended amount of $250, we will reach our goal of $100,000. Every gift we receive from our annual fund helps SAE be a place where we can all thrive. These funds help provide the additional resources necessary for such projects as the new preschool playground and smart boards for the K-8th classrooms.
The Dragon Fund plays a key part in SAE’s yearly funding and provides a path to a better future. We are counting on you for your continued support. Every dollar received, no matter how small or large, provides better resources for our beloved school and FAMILY!!
ROBOTICS
ABOUT OUR ROBOTICS PROGRAM
The SAE Robotics program encourages students to be leaders of future industries by engaging them in science, math, engineering, robotics, and computer technology. Our mission is to inspire innovation that will foster well-rounded life skills.
At the SAE School, robotics is not just a club; it’s a class. SAE is one of the few schools that offers robotics as an elective course. Since SAE is a project-based school, robotics is a natural, meaningful, and progressive place for our students to work together. Robotics inspires students to design, create, market, and compete. The SAE School’s team, The DRAGONBOTS, competes in FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) competitions throughout the school year, where FIRST encourages students of all ages to hone their engineering, public speaking, and competitive skills in a manner that puts ethics and morals at the top of every interaction.
For some students, robotics is something that they do in addition to sports and/or clubs; for other students, robotics is their sport. Teamwork, partnership, interdependency, and accountability are at the forefront of any successful team sport or business venture. SAE students learn these life skills by being a part of a bigger whole. Our program partners with other schools and younger grade levels to mentor and share our experiences so that together we can all be more successful.
Our DRAGONBOTS have earned the Recycle for Good Award, competed and advanced through every level of FIRST competitions all the way to the state championship, placed in the top 25% of GA teams, won against high school teams with more experience, and learned how to do it again bigger and better next year.
THE 5 DIMENSIONS OF OUR PROGRAM
To be a DRAGONBOT, students become leaders for the team in one of the following 5 categories:
DESIGN
Scale modeling utilizing CAD
CODING
Java, Scratch and Blockly
NETWORKING & OUTREACH
Students must interact with the community to fund raise and find support for competition fees, travel expenses, and equipment upgrades.
MARKETING

LEADERSHIP
While the team is mentored by teachers and staff, the team is coached by student leaders.
Teamwork is the foundation of all success. Together we learn to inspire and innovate, together we are the leaders of tomorrow.
