Becoming a green school is right in line with The SAE School core philosophies. Students at the school are taught to be aware of their environment – this includes the physical environment, nature, and even with people around them. Students can monitor the school’s sustainability efforts in real-time via a digital monitor in the school’s lobby. Whether students are learning to give back to the community, learning about sustainable farming techniques such as aquaponics or leading by example by working to becoming a school completely off the power grid – they are all learning that we can all reduce our negative impact on the world.
The SAE School’s mission to become a 100% solar powered school will give our students a shining example of reducing our impact on the world.

NEW SOCCER FIELD FROM THE ATLANTA UNITED
The SAE School celebrated the opening of its new mini-pitch yesterday. It's part of the GA 100 campaign created by the Atlanta United FC Community Fund and in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) with the goal of constructing up to 100 mini-pitches in under-resourced communities across Georgia.

GAF SPONSORED SOLAR REFLECTIVE PLAYGROUND COATING FOR HARDTOP PLAY SURFACES AND PARKING SPOTS
We are revolutionizing climate education with our innovative approach to learning. The SAE School has introduced a groundbreaking feature: a reflective playground that combines outdoor play with environmental education. Before painting the playground with GAF’s cutting-edge reflective technology, we integrated the evaluation of the benefits of the coating into our curriculum and used interactive elements and sensors to engage students in hands-on learning experiences about sustainability and climate change. This unique initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of environmental sciences among young learners while promoting physical activity and outdoor exploration. By integrating education and play, The SAE School is shaping future generations to become environmentally-aware individuals who are equipped to evaluate complex systems.
